The Krollen 60x20x12 dunnage rack arrived in a large box with plenty of room to spare (two units could have fit in the box) and with no damage. I was taken back by how lightweight the rack is and if it weighs 10 pounds I'd be surprised. Look at the photos- I can lift it with one finger no problem. The construction is perfect with regards to dimensions, squareness, and TIG welds that must have been made by robot they are so perfect. But with the rated load of 1,740 pounds, that tells me the weight must be gently loaded with zero lateral movement because any forces applied to the legs would cause them to collapse. The aluminum tubing is 1.5 inch square and must be paper-thin (a few mils wall thickness at best), which keeps the rack ultra light weight. That makes me question the durability with normal use. I am adding a 1/2 inch plywood deck to help better distribute the load, which is mostly 50 pound bags of whole kernel feed corn for the local turkeys and deer. I was expecting it would be more substantial for a welded construction rack as opposed to a bolt-together one, but I was wrong.
