I got an etool with nsn number made by wright tool company its way before the gerber etool, and it fits snug as a bug in a rug, it is alice and that's what I needed, as the molle covers will eat the paint off yer etool fast and yer etool will stick in the cover like glue, this cover is the way to go...

I didn't read the description well enough so I was a bit disappointed to see it is an ALIcE pouch. That's on me, I was hoping for MOLLE. Anyway, the pouch is well made, military issue type stuff. My shovel fits in it but the lid doesn't quite close as my shovel is too big. It's probably just not 80's USGI. Again my bad not the pouches "fault."

A thousand times better than the issued one. I do wish it had another clip on the bottom so it's more snug but not a huge issue. The issued cloth one takes 4 hours just to get the E Tool out

Good quality and tough. It fit my shovel really well. It has allice clips at the back, and the snaps hold firmly without being difficult to close or open.It seems very secure and is a must have for anyone with a compatible shovel. Make sure you have military style folding shovel with the metal, not wooden handle. Mine does seem to have, what appears to be oily marks on the plastic but it is just a minor distraction.

Works great with Gerber NATO Folding Shovel if you add some 1†snap extensions. Those snap extensions are available here on Amazon for use on boat covers. With those nylon snap strap extensions, the case closes over the shovel. Nice heavy case.

Used this as a cover for a 1 piece steel trenching tool, just had to cut the flap in 2 and it covers the shovel perfectly and allows you to carry it attached externally to your gear

Took me a while to find out if this type of cover which is used for the other E tools could fit my Gerber e tool. I made these snaps out of sioux brand plumbing pipe strap webbing and a tarp/boat cover snap kit. Both items I bought at menards hardware store. I’m pleased with how it came out. So with modification will fit the Gerber E tool non pick shovel. Otherwise it won’t close within 1-2 inch.
