This is a great set of colors at a price that almost seemed too good to believe. I use my embroidery machine pretty heavily, and these colors leave a beautiful shine to the finished product, with greater durability than the more expensive brands. The only downside is that they do not have a thread catch and the number is just a sticker on the top that must be removed, but these problems were easily remedied by cutting a notch in the bottom of the spool and placing the sticker on the inside. For the few people who were complaining about frequent breaks, I would suspect the culprit has to do with not using the proper bobbin thread. Many Brother machines, like my PE770, require 90 weight bobbin thread to run optimally, which is a little heavier than regular bobbin thread. Overall, this is a great starter set for new embroiderers, or to fill out your collection for those who frequently use their machine.

The package arrived quick and protected. We love the vibrant colors of the threads. The only thing is that it took a lot of time to sort them out on a rack as their name is on the top and easily rips. Also the photo shows them in a rack as if they come in a rack but they did not, they come all together in a box so I recommend ordering the rack at the same time. They are very durable, do not rip easily, and are beautiful colors. I highly recommend them. FYI they are small so don't be surprised when you receive them. The great thing about them is that you get to test and see 63 color varieties from a good company.

I just purchased the Brother SE425 and this collection of embroidery thread and I have been quite pleased with it. The colors and numbers match the Brother/Disney colors. I have downloaded a few Disney designs and all my designs have come out beautiful. There is some prep work to these spools. I wrote the number on the inside of the spool with a permanent marker & peeled off sticker. I cut a slit on the bottom of spools to keep thread from unwinding. The box they come in is small and some are up and some are down, and are hard to get out and put back in, so I put them in a bigger box to have them all laying flat with spool up in numerical order. I can easily find the color and put it back when done. The only drawback I see is not being able to purchase a single spool of a color that is used most. This is a great kit of many colors and at a reasonable price.

These spools are awesome! I am using them in a Brother SE-400 embroidery/sewing combo machine. I made about 10 designs with all different threads so far and no breakage or splittiing. It is true that these spools DO NOT have a thread catch at the end, but I just used an Exacto knife and nicked the plastic base. I have also read that some buyers did not get a color chart with theirs, I did. It does not list color names but I found a Brother chart online and printer that and it had all but three of the colors (I have attatched the one I found). I did something I read in previous reviews and just peeled the number ID sticker off of the end and stuck it inside the spool. I did not have any trouble starting the spools either (which is something else I read other buyers were having trouble with).If you are willing to take about an hour (casual estimate) to set the spools up in these ways, this purchase is completely worth it. If you want a receive and sew, I would recommend a different product.I am more than happy with this purchase and will buy again!

I am going to start with 4 stars but I may come back to revise. I am in the midst of doing a very simple satin design and I cant help but say I am very impressed with the way the colors are blending together and how they match Brothers charts. The sheen to this thread is beautiful too. Some thread just looks dull not this! Also no breakage at all so far but Ive only had it two days. I am running a Brother Innovis 900D so I have alot of Disney patterns. Next pattern will be a tigger for my honey.Cons - has nothing to do with the thread itself. The brand is Embroidex. It comes in a compact little box, not good for storage. The labels are on the top so you have to peel them off and put them inside and write the numbers on the rim of the top. Not fun. Also there is no thread catch. Bummer. Other then that I see no problems with this thread.Keep in mind when shopping these are 500M rolls many sets out there offer the 1000M rolls. I saw this same set for $69 with 1K Spools. Something to remember.3/6/14 Update... Ive been using this thread for a good 2 weeks now and I honestly can not complain about it other then to say I wish it had a thread catch spool. The sheen is amazing and I have had little to no breakage. I am looking into buying a different set of Embroidex thread that has a lot more colors. We shall see.3/11/14 Another update. I have had no problems so far. I had maybe two breaks with it. I did order the 260 spool set by ThreadArt from Amazon (not Kolors) and got Embroidex brand thread. It is a great deal at .49 a spool. Testing it now. Same cons as the 63 spool set no keeper and they are 500M rolls. Which is plenty for me they seem to last a long time. Other con is you can not buy this thread individually to replace used spools. Hopefully that will change since Embroidex now has a website! They will also send you a thread chart if you call them. Look for my review on that item! So far so good! It however does not cross reference any other brand. It is similar to Marathon but not the same.
