The rayon made from viscose has a similar structure to cotton and therefore offers feel and texture resembling those of natural fibres. I had several items to embroider for Christmas that seemed to cry out for a shiny gold thread. BUT I didn't want to mess with a metallic. This rayon embroidery thread has that sheen!The large spool was easy to use by just setting it in a cup near the front of my machine (but not close to the "fly wheel" where it might get pulled in). Never had a problem with it feeding off the spool altho I did notice some twisting.The price is right and the quality rivals any brand I've used.If you're interested in stitching with rayon, give this a try. I tried this new rayon white thread. I do a lot of free standing lace and wanted to try the snowflakes thinking the sheen would be perfect. Out of the wrapper the thread is shiny and smooth to touch. It sewed nicely. However, I cannot see a difference compared to the polyester in the snowflakes. Next time I will do a satin stitch, then I think it will really shine.

Although this seems like the perfect color for what I need, as soon as I took off the cellophane, the thread started spilling off of the cone on both the top and the bottom, and I can’t seem to find the beginning of the cone thread. Not sure how much of this I’m going to have to waste until I find it - probably won’t buy this brand again, as there’s no ‘catch’ at either the top or the bottom to keep the thread wound tightly when not in use.

I bought rayon thread because it has great sheen. This does not. I should have paid the extra for on other brand. Other than that the thread is okay.

I ordered two spools of this thread to try. The thread performed well. It is a large spool that will be good for many projects. I had no breakage or issues even when operating my embroidery machine at high speed. It's very shiny and added to my project.

Nice shiny lustrous thread. But near impossible to control as it winds off the spool too quickly. Also it sheds and frays, therefore it is not a good choice for large projects with high stitch counts as you will be re threading your machine more than you will he embroidering.

I used this thread for edge to edge quilting to sandwich it together . It stitched out perfectly. Ran smoothly without one problem. I would recommend this and all the other colors. This is a great product and a great value for your money.
