not satisfied with electrical installation. Wanted to control condensate tray water level independently of any connection to the A/C unit. Run on its own power.

The 6.4 GPH 50 FT Max Head Drip Pan HVAC Condensate Pump can be used for several different kinds of water pumping. It has the proper connections to be used and controlled by a whole-house or commercial air conditioner system. It may also be used for a leaky, wet basement or as a small, quiet sum pump. I used it to drain one of two home dehumidifiers in my basement. The hose length to the drain is over 30 ft long, with a rise of one foot; this pump performs admirably in this set-up.It has an electronic water level sensor and is not a float, so it should be far more reliable. If the sensors get dirty and stop working, a convenient slide opens access to them. Wipe them off, and they are good to go again. This would likely only happen very often when using it to pump dirty, floor-standing water out of a leaky basement.The output can take a small inside diameter hose so that when pumping water to a higher level, the backflow does not cause short cycling. This product has excellent instructions covering the different wiring options for various types of installations. I highly recommend this product.

This pump is well made, and easy to use. The wiring options are nice and instructions are easy to follow.

Installed the pump and thought I would be home free. Looked at it the next morning and the pump was running constantly, with little or no water in the pan. Float switch should have shut it off, but didn’t. Troubleshooting tips were not helpful and there was no other support offered. Such a disappointment. I may try another one in case this is a dud because the size was exactly what I needed… But I need it to work.

The HVAC drip pan pump was easy to install and seems well-built. Although I haven't needed to use it yet, it looks like it will do the job when the time comes. Overall, I’m satisfied with the purchase so far and feel prepared for any potential leaks.
