It makes taking off stubborn rings a breeze. It isn’t universal however it’s too big for several of the vehicles I tried it on like a ford escape. They list the vehicles it can be used on but I just wanted to check others just to see. Overall great tool and well made

I changed the fuel pump on my pickup recently. Getting the lock ring off was easy enough, but getting it back on proved impossible. I wasted HOURS trying to get it on, but only being able to apply force from one side meant it tweaked easily and would go no further.I finally threw in the towel and looked for a tool. $65 at AutoZone was a no thank you. Found this one for less than half that, ordered it and hoped for the best.One ratchet, one cheater pipe (handle extension), this tool and 30 seconds later, the ring was locked.When they say "the right tool for the right job", they really aren't kidding!
