Our hotel has 70 rooms and because the receiver for the tv is hidden it need to have an external IR cable in order for guests to change channels and operate the Dish service. This has proven to be our best altternative.

I wall mounted three TVs and wanted to Velcro my cable boxes to each TVs back. Each box, an IPV5050 from our local supplier EPB in Chattanooga, had an IR port on the back. This cable worked perfectly and the receiver operates easily from a distance of 15 feet.

If you open this up and swap the red and white wires it will work with Furrion RV stereos. This requires fine soldering.Furrion extender IR sensors are impossible to find. Furrion wires their jacks backwards.

I used it with an EPB (Chatanooga, TN) fiber box to hide the box inside a cabinet and still access with IR remote.
