This repeater worked perfectly for me. It's small, and the sensors were the perfect size for my mini jumbotron! The instructions were clear and the wire lengths would be perfect for other things as well.

Add my name to the list of people who bought a $10 IR blaster and found that the performance was no where near the advertised distance of 15 feet. More like 5 feet. The Ensigear Repeater was well worth the money and completely resolved the useable distance problem. The Comcast XG1 V4 is mainly an RF device with limited IR capabilities. Therefore, it does not play well with third party universal remotes. I use the Ensigear with a Logitech Harmony Ultimate One and it works perfectly on every button push. The instructions however are pretty weak and do not clearly show which side of the receiver should face forward. There are two small protrusions on one side of the receiver; those are the receiver lenses and should face the user. Although it does not come with a USB cable for power, I had a spare one lying around and use it to power the Ensigear via the USB port on the back of the XG1. This allowed me eliminate the need for the AC power adapter (which is included with the Ensigear). Enjoy!

I rarely write reviews, but this IR extender is amazing! I got new tv stand with slats in the front that was supposed to let through IR signal, but you had to hold the remote at weird angles to get it to work. I installed this IR extender for 4 devices (Apple TV, Roku Ultra, Blu-Ray player, surround sound receiver) and it works perfectly. I can point the remote anywhere in the room and it controls everything.The only thing I didn’t like is that every part of this product has bright LEDs, so I had to use some black gaff tape to cover them up since I don’t want my tv stand lighting up.

Replaced a 10 year old one that quit working. This one appears well built and hopefully will last another 10 years

It took me less than 5 minutes to install this and it worked perfectly. As you can see from the picture attached, the sensor isn't that obvious.

Worked for about 2 minutes, and then stopped responding to any signals from my remote. Status LED was blinking on remote button presses, but no longer.Absolute piece of junk, unfortunately.

If you have a large area with a big screen and hidden AV equipment, this is the one for you. The simple $10 IR extender doesn't work like this one does. I'm able to control equipment 30 feet away. I'm sure it would work farther, but I would need to go outside to check.

Product came a day earlier than estimated. Setup was easy. Works like a charm through cabinet doors. Like the extended range. Can now control volume on receiver from breakfast table (about 35')
