Perfect fix for the issue I was having with my Spectrum tv box.My tv box is in a cabinet. The face of the cabinet is open but the tv box was having huge issues receiving the signal from the remote. So much so that I thought it was an issue with the box and took it in for replacement.!When the 2nd box was doing the same thing I remembered these devices. Bought and installed this one and Boom! Problem solved. So much less stress now.

The IR jack on the back of the GFHD200 requires a stereo 3.5mm IR extender to which it actively drives out VCC on the tip, receives data on the ring, and uses the sleeve as ground. This particular IR extender works great with it. If you have one of these STBs, be aware that the IR receiver built into the front of the unit will be disabled when you have the extender plugged in, so the extender becomes your only source of IR input.

This does not work with our DirecTV reciever boxes. Would not purchase

I bought 3 of these cables, and was expecting them not to be compatible with my Summit Cable TV boxes. To my delightful surprise, they all work perfectly. The adhesion is great, except outside. I assume the heat and humidity has something to do with it. I used velcro instead, and that solved the issue.
