The holes cut fast in hardwood and there is only a slight burr on the top. The bottoms are pretty clean. With the carbide cutting edges, this should last a really long time. The edges of the hole (the hole sides) are pretty smooth. It guts on the edge as well as all other Foerstner bits I have used.It comes in a plastic case. Note it is a fairly short bit but for my use, that does not matter. The holes I drilled are using a drill press.

While these are a good deal — and work OK in soft wood and MDF, do not rely on them to power through hardwood or composites well. Find another solution if that's your goal. I'll be returning these after a less-than-successful run with the largest bit.

Easy to use, sharp bit. This makes a very clean hole in both soft and hard wood. I'm a beginner at woodworking and just starting to assemble my tools. This is a really nice addition that I will use often.

I’m a woodworker, and I should’ve known to just buy quality. These are terrible, and I’m only comparing them to the cheap ones from the big box store. Save your money and buy better quality. These cut, so I gave them 2 stars, but I’d avoid them.

None of these six bits correspond with the sizes stated in the description in the AD, the actual bits were either grossly larger or smaller.
