This rain just arrived yesterday, but I already like it. It’s small compact and easy to read and it actually looks nice on your deck. I also like the fact that the gauge itself is glass so you’ll be able to keep it clean.

I ordered this rain gauge knowing we were in for some serious weather in a few days. I am completely satisfied with the quality and price. The seven inch capacity should, I hope, handle what’s coming.

I bought this item and was very pleased with the quality, given the price. The water catchers are real glass, and they even sent a spare. I found it easy to read and use, and nice looking. However, the first time we got freezing weather after some rain, the glass shattered. So now I'm only using it in summer and bringing it inside for winter. This is not ideal for such a product.

We measured 2.373 inches (close to 6 mm) of rain yesterday with nearly 1.5 more today. The markings and clear enough to see from our dining room window and the clear glass lets you see the rain water very clearly too. (A previous rain gauge made of plastic got clouding and became very hard to read.)

Seems like a bad idea to make a rain gauge out of glass. This one broke after a couple of months exposed to winter weather. I have replaced it with a PACETAP 7" Large Capacity Rain Gauge Outdoor made of plastic. It fits in the same holder.
