Nice small tool for delicate work, however the head of the hammer had cracks in it and the handle was lose.We were able to fix the handle, but a better detail of the product would have been helpful.

Smaller handle than I expected, reviews said hammer head was bad from softer materials, but after all day use in a fabrication shop worked better than expected.

800g head not 1000g, terrible fit and finish & floppy head. Surprisingly good ergonomics.

This hammer is ok. It is of medium quality .The head came slightly rusted, because the plastic wrapping was ripped at one corner. The handle is ok - the wood is not super well finished, but not terrible either. The head is attached well. The head has a marking that says DIN 1041 200, which is a German standard for a 200 g Cross Peen Machinist hammer. This does not mean it is made in Germany. In fact nowhere on this hammer does it say where it was made (Amazon listing says Origin: China)The DIN standard also usually means that the hammer has to be made from hardened steel, but this hammer is not hardened steel - I can file it with a regular file. This might be useful for carving into it to make a texture hammer, but if you want a hammer that will hold up striking nails, metal stamps or harder metal, go for hardened steel.I ordered the smallest one (7oz), which feels slightly unbalanced, but that might be my personal preference in tools speaking

So the first thing I notice is that the head is loose out of the package. Does not seem like it was built well. It does function for now, but I think with any moderate to heavy use it will not last long. Overall, it's just "meh" and hence the 3 star rating.
