These are pretty on par with Kalour colored pencils. They are pretty pigmented, smooth and layers well. However, the reds and orange are not bright enough. The red especially, almost comes across pinkish. Aside from that, I am pretty happy with the set. They layer, and blend well. I bought this for my keep-my-hands-busy coloring books and travel set. When I am doing more serious pieces though, I still prefer to use a range of Feela, Castle, and Prismas.

Bought these for a gift. The recipient of the gift really like them and said the pencil had good quality. So I was happy it was a great value for the price.

I love this set of pencils. It has such a wonderful variety of colors. One of the pencils came with no lead at all. There was nothing showing at the tip. Nothing in the box. I started sharpening it and did not find lead at all. :-(

These are very firm pencils (we're talkin' Crayola firm), but the laydown is like silk. One word of caution, however: if you are impatient or a heavy-handed colorist, these pencils are likely NOT for you and you probably won't enjoy them. This is a layering pencil, meaning, to get the the most vibrant, saturated color out of them, you need to apply multiple, light-handed layers.I have been seeing this brand on Amazon for well over a year (maybe two) and was curious to try them but kept putting it off. When the 72 set went on sale for a silly price, I jumped on it and I'm glad I did. I wish I had tried them sooner. At some point, they also made a 120 and a 180 set. I like these SO MUCH, that I would have happily paid full price for the 180 set, unfortunately, it is no longer available (and neither is the 120).Grab these while they are still available.
