I bought my trex boards from Lowe's and ordered these plugs. Looked like they were drilled from the same boards. I'm almost OCD so I even tried to match the grain of the plug with the board. But once I realized you couldn't tell anyway I gave that up. Once I had them all in, it was very hard to tell where they were and gives your deck a much cleaner look. DON'T force them into the hole or they will mushroom. If your countersink didn't push the screw far enough in, cut the plug down. I used a razor blade. The holes immediately stand out like you can see in my comparison pictures. Yes, you can say to yourself, "Awful expensive bits of engineered wood," but the look is worth it.

This is my 3rd time ordering a pack of 75 to finish the picture frame on a 12x24 deck. It doesn't take 225 plugs for 8 12' boards spaced 12" apart. 2 should've been enough. I have 150 holes total. I will count these ones. Otherwise they match well and seat well.

These plugs are a perfect match to our Trex Rocky Harbor decking. You do have to take some time to find a plug that matches the area you are working with. Sometimes they are a perfect fit for the hole and others are a little off. Not sure if it is the plug or the hole but either way they look way better than having to look a screw. I have ordered a couple different times as we add more deck space and shipping is always quick.

Perfect color and texture match. With variety of colors and texture, was able to match decking to where the plugs are almost seamless.Had a few where hole wasn’t deep enough so I just ran a deck screw into plug to remove it, drilled a little deeper and put in new plug.A little pricey as small bag of plugs is about same price as an 8’ board. But with small deck and only a few holes, well worth it in the end.

Matched well for me. Be sure your screw hole is deep and wide enough for plug to fit without excess hammering, which will flatten and smooth-out the top too much. If this happens, just drill out the plug and start over.
