This is a nice collection of several of the more common sizes of wooden dowels. They're stored in compartments of a clear plastic container that snaps shut.I'm just getting into woodworking and have seen lots of videos that show wood joinery using dowels. I was intrigues and ordered these. I really like the selection of sizes that you're given. And, there are over 200 dowels, so you won't run low anytime soon. These could have a place for craft projects also. But for me, it's small wood joinery. For the selection and ease of organization as well as product quality, I give these a 5 star rating.

A nice assortment of wood dowels to help strengthen joints of wood panels.I would surprised how good the quality was, usually when you get these in bulk you get quite a few duds but my set was good quality throughout.I found the sizes to be accurate as well. For the price I don’t see how you can go wrong.I will order again.

This is a decent assortment of dowels in a variety pack. You get 225 dowels for 10 bucks, so it's a pretty good deal. If you do any doweling, you will burn through the size you are using pretty quickly and need to get a bag of just that size. But this package is great for providing a variety of sizes, which helps you determine what size dowel you need for the job. dowels are made of some hardwood (oak?) and seem to be pretty consistent in size and shape. there are a few bad ones but for the price that is acceptable.

I usually purchase my dowel pins locally and so I was hesitant to purchase them online but I was definitely not disappointed! These are higher quality than the ones I get from the local hardware store and there is a larger selection of sizes in the package. They are also TOUGH. I even tried to snap one and couldn’t come close. The ones I usually buy snap fairly easily.Out of the entire box only one was defective (picture provided) but the rest are all perfect! Very happy with them!

You get a decent variety and a decent amount of dowels. They're fairly well shaped, but not super strong. Some of them seem a little prone to twisting and the fibers coming apart. So no great for things with twisting concerns.

I refinish a lot of furniture and this is great kit at a great price with a lot of options!225 pegs in 8 different sizes so you virtually have a peg for every size hole. I am famous for refinishing something and changing out the hardware, so when I go from a two hole pull to a one hole knob, something like this is just what I need and one of those things that you never have handy when you need one!

Not much you can say about a simple wooden dowel. They fit a bit loose in the matching hole size but when the flutes are filled with glue and the dowels expand a bit by soaking up a little glue moisture, they expand enough to hold tight. Nice to have an assortment on hand.

This is a nice assortment of fluted dowel pins with multiple lengths. Sadly, I found that over 10% of the pieces were unusable for furniture making either due to having a flat unfinished side, warped, cracked or knots (see pics). With fluted dowel pins, both ends should have a chamfer to ease the insertion into the hole and keep from scraping glue away as it’s inserted. A number of the pins didn’t have chamfer, but it can always be added pretty easily, so I didn’t count those in the waste count. The moisture content of these pins was good at 7-8%. Of the 90% usable pins, all of them have a diameter that does not allow you to use the common drill bits. When using a ¼†and 5/16â€drill bit, the wooden pins have considerable wobble in the hole. The 3/8†pins are larger than 3/8†and fit almost too tightly. I can drive them into the hole but cannot remove them by hand. That’s easily fixed by sanding them down slightly. I have a dowel centering tool with drill bit insert barrels for ¼â€, 5/16†and 3/8†bits. When using the exact size bit in this jig, the centering of the hole is exactly center with no drift. I had to use a 15/64†bit to get the ¼†pins to fit properly and a 19/64†bit for the 5/16†pins. That sounds like a viable solution, however by using a smaller bit the accuracy of the centering jig guides is lost. These are probably ok to use for crafts, but I would not recommend them for anyone trying to achieve accuracy in a wood joint. There are more accurate fluted dowel pins available on Amazon at the same or even less price.
