These are smaller than I thought they'd be, so I didn't use them for the original purpose I had in mind, but when I did get around to using them on a smaller project later I was very happy I had them on hand. Having 4 holes is great to prevent them from rotating on the screws, so they will add some additional structural support to your project beyond just fastening 2 boards together.

Brackets are good. But the screw heads will snap off going into hardwoods.

We used these brackets to join together log edge that we bought for our garden . They had wooden strips on the back so by using these brackets we strengthened them and achieved a lovely straight line edging the lawn. I recommend for their quality and strength.
