Works like other compression testers I have owned kind of old school which I like. Used it on both a motorcycle and a weed eater.

I cant speak to how accurate it is yet, but it worked for what i needed. Our newer kia had a cylinder misfire and i suspected the engine went (theta 2 class action lawsuit engine). It had the correct fitting. I tested all 4 cylinders and sure enough the misfiring cylinder had no compression at all. The others had ok compression and one had high compression. Im sure i will use it again, but even if i never do, it still was alot cheaper then having to tow it to a shop, pay for a diagnostic, just for them to tell me the same thing and have to tow it back.

Not sure of accuracy as I have no way of testing it but as far as ease of use and adapters to fit several different thread sizes, it works very well.

The price is great shipping is fast. For the occasional testing. I would say not good for everyday use. I had one before and blew out after 10 uses. But economical and excellent to check a cylinder here and there once in awhile

Used this compression tester on my skidoo mxz snowmobile. I wasn’t concerned about my compression but i figured I’d check anyway. The tester reads about 70psi on both cylinders. The engine would not even run on 70psi, 130 psi is ideal and anything less than 100 is typically not enough for these 2 stroke snowmobile motors to run. I don’t have a good tester so I can’t get an accurate reading but I would guess im somewhere in the 120-125 range and it read 70. That’s an inaccuracy of likely 50-60 psi. This is a cheap kit and 5 psi or less would be expected but this is just unacceptable! Do not buy this kit spend the extra money and get one that works.Price: 7/10Quality: 3/10Function: 1/10Accuracy: 0/10

This kits needs rigid tube for threading the fittings. The hose comes bent on the case and no matter how much you try to keep the hose straight, it will not keep the fitting on center to allow for threading into deep areas.
