What does a vacuum pump do?
The vacuum pump aims to provide a vacuum to several different places in the engine bay. The booster on power brake systems is one of the critical components that require a vacuum.
The vacuum pump makes sure that the booster stays under constant vacuum to provide adequate braking force.
Emissions solenoids and turbocharger wastegate actuators also require a vacuum to perform as intended. If these parts don't receive a vacuum,
they won't function properly and trip a corresponding check engine light.

Engine Code CC ID-029. Scary code!! After researching different forums, YouTube and speaking to a BMW/Mini Service Mechanic. It came down to this repair. It worked and my code is gone. Although a few forums say is the to replace High Preasur Fuel Pump. I went with this less expensive repair first. I will still replace the HP Fuel Pump soon, but for now this worked. Good Luck Mini Maniacs!✌🼠🚙

It worked okay for 2 months. And then stopped working. So you waste money to buy peace of junk + the labor, only for less than 1000 miles!!! . Now i will buy the original one for $350 so from tge beginning don’t buy from here it will end up to pay extra more than saving . Be aware !!!!!

Recently noticed a ticking noise coming from the engine which was horrible when cold. Turned out it was the vacuum pump.I removed it and installed the OG pump using the seals from the "new" pump. Just turning the pump by hand there was significantly less vacuum. Upon opening the pump the interernals were plastic instead of metal.You get what you pay for I guess.
