I only used this once so far but it worked just fine. Hopefully I won't need it again in the future but it's always good to have these specialty tools on hand.

This worked fine on a 1988 60hp Mariner outboard. Well- worth the listed price.Full disclosure:1) The first one received was defective because the drive bushing threads were cut improperly. The vendor promptly sent a replacement which works great.2) It would be easier to use if the drive bolt was fine-threaded because it can take a lot of force to break loose a stuck flywheel. I suspect they did this to match the eye bolt. Maybe fine-threaded eye bolts are hard to find?3) The product photos show that a standard bolt and a flat spacer are used to press against the shaft. Shafts like this are mostly made with a taper cut in the middle to match with a pointed drive bolt. That way, the bolt stays centered on the shaft and the shaft threads are not touched. *On mine, even after soaking with Kroil for two days, the pressing force caused the shaft threads to crush a bit. So I've got to do some thread repair before I can put it back together. Next time I'll grind a point on the bolt and skip the flat spacer.
