This item is sturdy and has a good feel to it. I had the plastic one but one of the tips broke off. This metal one won’t wear out. I use this thing all day every day, and it will last me for a long time.

The DITKOK 9-Piece Metal brake pad gauge set allows me to measure the break pad wear on my car without removing the tire. The ship of the gauge allows me to insert in in-between the wheel spokes and measure the brake pad thickness. The gauges are color coded so you know whether you need to replace your brake pads. Great product, great quality.

I got this today and used it immediately to check break pads on my car. the shape of the tool made it easy to use (maneuver around the brake housing) and felt sturdy- compared to the plastic version that is. I’d be better if the marking (for the thickness of the pad) on the tool was black instead of white which was difficult to see on a yellow background, or even better if they were etched / stamped, that would make it a five star!

There are others like this one made of plastic, but with my experience the plastic ones will eventually break. This metal one is very durable and allows me to check break measurements without taking the wheel off. The durability of this product justifies the price it’s at.

Metal is poor quality, came all bent up and can bend it with little force. I’ll need to use this every day at work and can already tell it won’t last very long before snapping. Also the 4mm and 5mm are the exact same size on mine.
