Bought this to be a candy dish for my office. I love it! super fun color. People comment on it all the time. Holds a lot of candy so I don't have to refill it all the time. Very cute. It's lighter weight than I was expecting, but it's really good quality. I'm very happy with it.

I got the Hippo in the dark blue and it's adorable! It looks even better in person! It is richer and more colorful looking. There are 2 sizes and I got the smaller one which is plenty big enough! It was packed well and actually arrived quickly! I like my new Hippo buddy!

This thing is awesome! I bought two for Christmas presents.One sibling didn't like it and gave it back, but that's because she's a normie without good taste. Said it clashed with her style. Whatever. She gave it back, so I gave it to a friend, who upon seeing it, immediately exclaimed, "YES!! I've been wanting a house hippo! You could put your keys in it, you could put tampons in it. The possibilities are ENDLESS!" Mm. Get you a friend that has good taste.The other sibling I bought one for seems to like it. He calls it his son and named it "Freddiger." Watching him cradle it in his arm and unironically pet it was a highlight of the holiday. He later put peanut-butter cups in it, so Fredigger has been put to work.It's a bit lighter than I thought it would be since the paintwork is so good that it looks metallic or stone. It's also pretty sturdy. The size is a bit small for a candy bowl unless you don't want all your house guests eating all your candy. There is a bigger size that I may end up getting some time. My thought I'd that it would work well as a fruitbowl. Or as a litmus test to see if new friends are keepers with good taste.

Absolutely love this piece. a bit bigger than I anticipated, so the bowl will hold anything from nuts, candies, or gumballs, to keys, cash, or sunglasses.A great addition to our formal living room - adding a bit of whimsical fun.

Purchased this for the front desk at work (to hold candy). Our customers comment on how cool it is quite frequently. It's light-weight, unique, and holds a decent amount. I usually have 3 different kinds of candy in this dish and can fit a large handful or two of each kind.If you need a better visualization of size, a grapefruit would sit inside nicely with a bit of wiggle room left around the rim.
