One of the best upgrades you can make, if you plan on fighting big fish. The install took less than 10 minutes, if that. Fits perfectly, no wobbling, just a great upgrade on power cranking.

These work great but there seems to be a lot of confusion about the included hardware. This is not a kit to replace lost or broken parts. If your handle fell off and you lost all the parts you need to order replacement parts, not this kit. Also, this handle comes with both a plastic and a stamped steel locking plate. If your reel has a capped acorn nut, use the steel plate. If your reel has a regular nut, use the plastic cap. Lots of people are trying to use both simultaneously and are complaining that the screw isn't long enough.

Didn't like the handle that was on the 6500 but didn't want the size of the 7000. Now I have a 6500 with a 7000 handle. No problem putting handle on other than figuring out how to get the c clamp off the reel shaft. Looks and works great. So much more leverage on the fish than original handle

Bought this for my Abu 6500 C3 and Ambassadeur D5 and it fits perfectly. I read some of the reviews where people were complaining about how the existing screw is too short after installing the new end lock caps. It does come with 2 locks caps but I don't think you are suppose to use both at the same time, it's either or. I used the covered end cap with my existing screw and it fits right in with no issues. The end caps is to prevent the nut from coming loose when winding so there is no need to install both at the same time, it just depends which look you like better. My Abu Record No.1 (the last picture) have a covered nut so that is when you would use the open lock cap.

This handle works great! It fills that space between a factory 2 knob handle and the full on power handle. The perfect midle ground.

I really don't understand why the people on here are talking about needing to get a longer screw. I was worried about until I got it. The people who left a bad review know nothing about reels. You get two handle lock plates. You choose one out of the two to use, then you use the screw you already have. It fits fine. It's nice they give you two options for the cover. This is an awesome handle and makes reeling so much easier. I highly recommend it!
