The hardware fit my Shakespeare reel and allowed me to fix the handle. Part was not available locally.

This product would only work for a reel where the handle actually screws into this part. I have several spinning reels and this is how it works only with one of them. So in my experience, most of my reel handles screw directly into the reel and there is a part that screws on the other side to cover the opening.

Does what it claims to do. Suitable for 6000 size and below fixed spool reels. Not suitable for Penn reels. I have tried it on more than one brand of fixed spool reels.

Here’s and idea…. Why don’t you advertise what reels you product fits. Would stop wasting everybody’s time.Complete loss of money and transportation. Review said fits reels up to 6000.I have an Abu Garcia STX 4000; it does’t fit and has cost me a days fishing.

It says could fit reels less than 7000 but nah not in my case.
