I bought these to paint as table decor for an event, so I can't speak to their durability or if they leak, as that isn't how I'm using them. But they came quickly, and are durably packaged. Any leftover jars will go into my kitchen, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be a fine substitute for Mason, Kerr or Bell, although they are maybe a little thinner feeling.
