The belt on my 2010 Tahoe 5.3L started to make the screeching noise when starting and also whenever i would floor it to pick up speed. It was time to replace it. Got this belt for a good price and the ac belt too! Exact fitment and oem quality. Got the old belt off and new one on in like less than 5 minutes. I also used some spring clamps to help out. No more noise!!! And now when i floor the car, it picks up fine!

My old reliable 2007 GMC Yukon XL decided to break down on me. Fortunately, I was close to home and was able to limp into my driveway. I discovered the drive belt completely destroyed and wrapped around the water pump pulley. I checked estimates for repair and they were very high. Since I have another car, I decided to do the repair myself. I used to work on my cars but have not for many years. There are several good YouTube videos on changing the water pump on a 2007 Yukon. I suggest the one from 1A Auto. I followed the instructions and found out my skills had not left me. The water pump was a perfect fit, as was the drive belt. The old water pump had a cracked drive pulley, which caused the belt to come off and wrap around the pulley. I followed the instructions on the video for removing the old water pump and installing the new one. The new drive belt went on very easily. I torqued the bolts to the required foot pounds, filled the reservoir with fresh coolant and cranked it up. It worked just fine. Saved hundreds of dollars. Since I did this myself, I will monitor the status of the water pump and drive belt and update if there are any changes. So far, good experience. This review is for both the water pump and drive belt.

When it comes to car and truck repairs, cost can be the difference between getting something fixed, or NOT. If your goal is to get it done, then you have to consider both the cost of repairs and the cost of the parts. Make no mistake... the dealers and auto repair shops will mark up the cost of those parts, and could end up being as much as 100% more than the original cost of the part.If you decide to get your own parts, you have to be extra careful to get the right part. If you don't and the mechanic is the middle of the repair... all #e!! can break loose. "Well customer, now we have top charge you for the parts and time that it will take..." blah blah.Ordering and getting the right parts for my truck was so easy. And when the parts came in, THEY WERE THE RIGHT PARTS!Save yourself time and use the fitment tools available when you select parts, and you will be happy with the savings. I am!
