Car had a little oil on engines side, figured I would try a new cap, this one worked, no more oil on side of engine or near the cap

If your chevy cruze has oil leaking around the filler neck and you still have the original slim cap, then buy this! It's been two months now and hasn't leaked at all. Its huge and weird looking but it does the job. Easy to install. High quality, and a great value for the money.

At first it’s a little confusing because there’s no instructions but it’s two pieces already put together if you are looking for just the cap like I was just unscrew it and it fit like a glove

Installed this on my 2011 Cruze that originally had only the filler cap directly into the valve cover, making it mildly difficult to do the oil fill. The adapter piece with this assembly makes it easier to use your funnel. Check out the top rated review for good instructions on install. Not a MUST have, but if you are replacing the cap anyway, get this one.

Despite what the listing warns you, this oil cap with extension fits a 2013 Buick Encore with NO Leaks.

A simple, if inelegant, solution to the omnipresent oil blow-by past the stock oil filler vent and cap. Note that this item is three pieces- a new oil filler neck, a locking/indexing ring, and a cap. Installation is easy and tool free, but it isn’t necessarily obvious at first glance, and no diagram or instructions are included. I’ve documented the few steps in the photos accompanying this review. To install most easily, first pry up with your fingers on the front of the upper plastic coil splash shield (plastic on top of engine with ECOTEC or similar text on it). Then, insert the new oil filler neck with the pointer roughly at the 7 to 9 o’clock position and rotate until it locks into position with the pointer now at 11 o’clock. Then, push the indexing ring downwards (towards engine) to “lock” the new oil filler neck into place so it doesn’t unscrew each time you attempt to unscrew the cap. Finally, snap the hinged plastic cover/shield back down into place.

My sister had a leaky oil cap on her 2011 Cruze so I picked this up as a replacement.I read on a Cruze forum that GM changed the filler caps on their 1.4’s in 2015. I checked out pictures of the 2015 Cruze’s engine and they all have the new cap, as does my 2019 Encore.I think the added baffle reduces the pressure on the seal which judging by the forum has become a pretty common point of failure.Long story short - it fits and has stopped the leak.

Seal works perfectly and the fact that it separate in two for filling: nice touch!

First super fast delivery. Stunned in fact, it was supposed to be 2 days. But they got it here in one day so kudos to Amazon and the vendor. Now to install this puppy set aside at least 2 mins of your valuable time. If you’re replacing an older tube, you will need to first remove the ecotec cover. Set it aside. You will need a small flat head screwdriver to carefully pry the locking tabs up to move the retaining collar out of the way. Once this is done , twist the cap and filler tube to the left (counter clockwise) like your removing the cap to add oil. That’s it. Once the retainer (retainer does not come off the tube) is moved up it’s really easy to remove. If you have an older Trax that did not have a filler tube. All you have to do is install it. Installation is simply twisting it clockwise like your replacing the oil cap and pushing the retaining ring down till it locks in place. This holds the tube so you can remove the oil cap replace the ecotec cover, that’s it your done. . One thing to note. The filler tube has flaps that keep the oil blowback below the the tube. So when adding oil make sure you use a funnel to push this flap down so the oil is in the engine not overflowing outside. Big mess and waste of costly oil if you don’t. If you go for an oil change make sure the garage or lube place knows this or your going to have a mess. Repl

This is the factory updated part and it will stop the annoying leak.
