Surprised by other reviews, This footrest is exactly as pictured here. Yes, it does rest the foot at an angle, exactly as pictured. As the height is adjusted upward the angle increases, a difference of 0.5" from heel (4.5") to toe (5") above the floor at lowest setting; and at highest setting a difference of 1.75" from heel (8") to toe (9.75") above the floor. I wouldn't call it lightweight, but feels very solid. I am surprised that a reviewer said this was too low for a normal chair as the high setting averages 9". Well worth the money. Fit and finish are very good, no sharp edges. Perfect for me at low setting, with my acoustic guitar balanced on my right thigh while sitting in desk chair.

Great product for the price! I bought it for my 7 year old son and it works perfectly for him. It's got several height settings, easily adjustable, also seems pretty sturdy. Good quality.

Haven't really put this thing through any torture sessions yet (ha ha), but appears to be a sturdy and well made footrest. Good size with slightly more width than some, good height options, and for whatever reason, is about half the price as what seems equivalent footrests. I've had several of these things over the years, and this seems as good as any. Only complaint is that the rubber pad is only attached with the rivets and not glued down. A few quick streaks of crazy-glue took care of that. Would be nice if it had an option for sitting flat as well as angled up, but not a big deal.Cheers

I picked this one out of many on Amazon primarily because it has a smaller pad (tiny less than 10" in length) and that's good for the size of my foot, also because the product description says "7 ounce" for weight, though the "shipping weight" did say "1.5 pounds". Upon receiving it, I found the product to be quite weighty and it does actually weigh 1.5 pounds. Other than that, the footrest appears to be very well constructed and sturdy, amazingly for such a low price. Height is from 5" to 9".

I am a beginner with the guitar but when I saw this stand I knew that I needed it. It helps me get my feet up to get the guitar closer to my body, making it somewhat easier to play. The stand is great jparticularly because it has many height positions.

This is well made. It replaces the junk that I had to tape to some 2x4 to use. The braces and foot pad are heavier and a good example to junk makers. It is higher but a little adjustment of my throne, and well done. Three cheers.

Work well for two weeks, then front prongs bent and so it won't lower all the way. Still is usable just not fully adjustable. Bent prongs back but still collapses to floor.

I wasn't sure this would make a difference for me being a new guitar student but the first time I used it the benefits were noticeable. the stand raises my leg up so that holding my guitar is much more comfortable. The price was excellent too.
