The top and bottom are too large to fit in correctly to get the proper measurement, very stiff and hard to turn

I got this as a backup in case I step on/drop my existing comp cams push rod checker. The threads inside are smooth and don't have any binding when measuring. It's an infrequently used tool for me, so I imagine it will last a lifetime. A fraction of the price of the name brand ones too.

When I received this found it had no instructions at allI left a message on seller's Amazon page and asked where instructions wereThey responded with this :"Hey my friend, it's just Simply screws and unscrews by hand using the lines as pictured for measurement. Each full turn is .050". But Professional installation is strongly recommended. We take no responsibility in teaching you how to install, thanks for your asking."There is nothing on seller's page to say you must be a pro tech person to use this which means you have to teach yourself how to use this or by improper use can cause engine damage
