This is a great mic to use in a room that is not properly treated. Very directional, sounds rich and clear. I've now used it on violin, viola and clarinet with equally great results. For the price, this is a truly amazing microphone.

I don’t feel there’s anything extra special about the sound of male VO with this mic. Was expecting better clarity and lees proximity effect as it’s based on a classic broadcast mic. It’s a good mic, but i was hoping for a little more sparkle and magic.The mic also no longer comes in a metal carry case either. It’s plastic now. If you’re going for broadcast setup, buy a windscreen too.
