Purchased the cheapest air cushion machine I saw on Amazon to use these air cushions. The machine blows air to inflate the bags and then the heated rollers seal it. I'm using this more for filling the void of a box and using the bubble style inflating ones to cushion the items when necessary. Plastic seems to inflate and retain air without issue. However, pillows seem to pop a bit easier than the ones used by Amazon or other companies seem to use. Will try and update when I use more of these.

I didn't realize you need an expensive machine to make this work properly. That being said there is a workaround. Each of the "pillow" sections has a spot along the top seam where air escapes. If you cut it to the length you want, then seal along the top with tape, you can use a hand air pump like you get with a yoga ball (insert the tip into the single top hole you left open) to pump air into the film. When you get it filled to your satisfaction, remove the nozzle of the air pump and hold the opening closed while you grab another piece of tape and seal that final hole and you are ready to use it for packing filler. Alternatively, just wad it up uninflated and stuff into spaces to keep your items from shifting around. But I don't recommend you buy this product unless you also own the equipment meant to fill and seal it.

I have an air cushion machine on order so I expect this to come in very useful. Saving the pre-filled air pillows from packages I receive takes up a lot of space so these will come in very handy and let me get rid of empty boxes hold nothing but saved ones.

Size is perfect and hold air for a long time. Seals well at a lower temperature. Only issue is the price. You can get larger rolls at a lower price. Overall these make good air pillows for packing.
