Just for future reference, my truck is 2015 lx570, symptom is the I hear excessive roaring from idling up to 2k rpm, the higher the louder, I can spin the fan with resistance when engine is off. Car shift slight higher rpm and mpg reduce by 1 or 2. fan clutch seems to fully engage when engine is spinning which cause the fan to spin too quick, I took out the old fan clutch and the center expansion metal piece has rust which might cause issue of open/close the valve inside. Put the new fan clutch and all quiet and smooth.Another suggestion is fan bolt is tight and easy to be rounded, so use a 6 point wrench

I wasn’t sure if the fan clutch was bad on my tundra or not. My truck would roar like a jet engine louder and louder as the rpms would increase and the truck would stay in each gear too long- sometimes all the way to 3800 rpms. -almost seemed like a transmission problem.I read in a couple fix it pages that it could be the fan clutch.I thought for a hundred bucks I will definitely try replacing this first.About a hour later my truck doesn’t roar anymore and it shifts at around 1500 rpms again. If this sounds like what your truck is doing just order the part. You aren’t going to find it cheaper anywhere else and this is the oem part. It’s also a pretty easy install.2011 sr5 crewcab.

This is the same OEM AISIN part that came off my 2020 Tundra 5.7L Crewmax. Great price. This resolved my squeaking noise when I thought it was the belt or a pulley. There was no packing material in the box but that's ok since it came in the original AISIN box that says MADE IN JAPAN which is good news. Hope this helps more people instead of going to the dealership & spending much more on this simple part.

I had a loud whining fan noise coming from the engine bay, and transmission was shifting at a much higher RPM than normal. This fixed the problem!

This is the OEM direct replacement for the stock fan clutch on a 2007 Tundra and others with the 5.7 V8. Fairly easy to install. Took a little over an hour. Don't be fooled out of the box it feels like the same resistance as your failed clutch, but soon after the ignition you will notice the roar is no longer there and the fan spins much more slowly than the engine. Literally the first part I have replaced on this truck in 14 years and 140K. The clutch is made by the same company who made the one that came off, should last another 100k.
