Well, this one took my breath away. Most people look @ the quality of their purchase. Aisin did not dissappoint. Wow, truly impressed the minute I opened up the box. This is very solidly built. I've replaced several of these throughout the years on different vehicles and they usually feel cheap and flimsy like they're not going to last you. Not this one, the plastic housing is solid and the thermostat and o-rings feel nice and sturdy as well. It has some weight to it, not too excessive though. Perfect fit on my 2010 tundra. This one is a keeper. Thanks Aisin for producing quality products. Definitely worth the cost and recommend.

Same manufacturer as OEM and a perfect fit and performance. My factory one is still working just fine but I'm going to replace it with the water pump. Like how the housing is painted from the factory. Another critical engine protection part that is not worth going cheap.

I replaced my '08 Sequoia's thermostat with this Aisin one. In close inspection, I'd call them identical except for the word "Toyota" on the old one. I assume Aisin makes OEM products -- I replaced the timing belt on my '01 Sequoia with the Aisin kit, and like this thermostat, all the parts were high-quality and seemed identical to Toyota-branded parts. At an aftermarket price :-).

I compared the AISIN THT-005 thermostat to the original out of my 2008 Tundra (5.7l). Where the "Toyota" is on the OEM, there is a sticker covering that spot on this Aisin. The black text on the side of the Aisin matched the original exactly. I replaced the thermostat since I was in there replacing the water pump (the thermostat mounts to the water pump). My temperature gauge runs just below the half way mark at operating temperature like it did with the original thermostat.

Looks good and is maintaining the same temp the original did. The old one was working, so this was preventative as I was changing the water pump, hoses and rad anyway.
