Seems my last thermostat was open for 4+ years. Seems to open around 180F with a max temp of 188F so far. Was slightly different than the one I took off, but worked fine.My old gasket stuck to the engine and I had to peel it off and then scrape clean with a razor blade. I did not know that I was going to lose about a gallon of coolant. I needed to buy more.

no issues using this thermostat. It was hard to install, but that is not the thermostat's fault. I decided to clean the manifold, pcv value and throttle body, so after taking that stuff out, it was easy to install. I bought this because i was already going to change the water pump on my daughter's 2010 prius.

It perfectly fit my 2012 Toyota Plug-in Prius. No issues.

Replaced the water pump and thermostat. Recommend using the Titan 11330 1/4-Inch Drive x 2-1/4-Inch 90-Tooth Swivel Head Nano Ratchet or something similar for the thermostat.

Part worked good!4 stars due to shipping. Sold by Amazon but it shipped in its original packaging so it was half open and sliding around everywhere.

Installed a little over one month ago when I did a head gasket replacement on my fiancee's 2010 Prius. It's the OEM brand for Toyota. No overheating issues so far so it's working perfectly.

Don't go with a marginally cheaper non-OEM part for this.Bit of a pain to remove the lower hose clamp, might want to consider buying a remote/flexible hose clamp tool and a set of plastic hose clamps for that part.Good luck!

Installed it at 223,000km and now I'm at 226,000km and no complaints. It's the same brand from the dealer just without it saying Toyota and costing double.
