2023 UPDATE:Just bought a 3rd one of these. My other 2 are holding up fine and keep a sharp edge for quite a long time, especially considering I'm mostly cut cardboard boxes with them. I flick mine open with my forefinger, I have an experience any of the opening issues others have mentioned. My latest one is a little tighter opening than the other two, but a couple dabs of Teflon lube made it much better, and it works just fine. I really find this to be the perfect size pocket knife for EDC.I love this little knife, in fact I bought another after receiving this one. It's just a cheap chinese-made flip knife, but considering it only cost about $12 I'm quite impressed with the quality. It's just what I wanted - a good knife that works but doesn't cost so much that I'd be upset if I broke it or more likely lost it. It's a bit smaller than my other EDC knives (see picture, this knife is at the top) but that's what I like about it. Its almost unnoticeable in your pocket (and it does have a clip but I don't use it) yet it's big enough to get the job done. I mostly use it to open boxes which is why I specifically wanted one with a smooth blade. My other EDC knife I had been using has a short serrated section near the handle, and that doesn't work well when slitting open boxes - this one does. Much as I appreciate high-quality knives I can't see paying $100 or even $50 for one - I'd rather have 4 or 5 of this one, at least for what I use it for. And the fact that it also has a seat-belt cutter and a glass breaker is just icing on the cake!

I’ve made the mistake of starting my collection with expensive knives. I got this knife as a test knife to practice whetstone sharpening on. You can actually see the bandages on my fingers as a result of that. I completely expected a badly made flimsy knife that I was going to sacrifice for my experiments. But it turned out to amaze me. This can easily pass as a $40-$50 knife, and if this was sold 15 years ago it can easily pass as a $100 knife. This construction is very solid. The assisted mechanism while not perfect beats my $80 dollar knife by a stretch. It even comes with a seatbelt cutter and a very rigid glass breaker, which can save a life one day. Ignore the scratches on the blade in my photos, these are due to my errors in sharpening.I only have two minor complaints. The knife is kind of small, while perfect for young people who are starting the hobby as well as small handed people, it sinks inside my huge hands and doesn’t provide a strong grip as a much larger knife would. Also the blade comes very dull from the factory, which makes it perfect for young enthusiasts, but it’s the easiest knife to sharpen and learn to sharpen on. It took me 8 minutes to make it razor sharp as opposed to my $200 dollar knife with hardened D2 steel which took me around 40 minutes. This is perfect as an only knife and while you can get better for much more money, 99% of people won’t need another knife except for his and it is built to last longer than me.

I purchased this knife over 1.5 years ago and use it daily. The color wore off, but that’s to be expected. It finally broke after I used it incorrectly, so it was time to buy a new one. I will continue to come back to this knife again and again - it’s sharp, opens easily, closes even easier, and is the perfect size and weight for me. Sometimes the blade loosens, but is easily fixed by tightening the screws on the front and back. Rope cutter is great, but does get dull if used often. Haven’t needed to break glass, but the “glass breaker” unscrewed from the bottom and was lost within the first few months. Overall a great knife.

The quality is reflective of the price. Out of the three knives I’ve purchased over the last four years, two of them had the screws holding the blade in place wear out and would loosen even after using loctite and tightening them periodically. This would cause the blade to be somewhat wiggly when open but wouldn’t affect the ability to use it; I only used it for opening boxes though so depending on your use it could either be detrimental or not a problem. The blade itself is sharp but the overall lifespan is fairly short. I like the spring assisted open, it makes it easy to use one handed. The appearance is sleek and the weight is nice. Pretty solid little knife imo.

I own a larger knife similar to this one, but I needed something smaller to use at work for breaking down boxes or opening bags quickly; often when I only have one hand free to open the blade. The back lever makes opening the knife quick and easy, and the thumb lock works smoothly while still securing the blade (even better than the larger one I have from another company).Even though I have rather large hands, the handle fits easily enough with my usual adjustment in how I hold smaller knives in a utility function (more in using my fingertips to hold the handle to the ball of my thumb like a vise rather than a more traditional hammer grip). The blade is sharp and reliable enough that so far I haven't had to hone it yet even with as much use as it gets, and is durable enough that I can use it to insert the blade and pry open securely glued boxes. And while I've never owned a knife like this that I feel the seatbelt cutter would work particularly well (not able to cut even rather thick paper), I'm pretty sure that the blade itself would do the job just as well if not faster even if the other blade didn't work. So that's never really been something I've felt worth a complaint in any way.

I wanted a knife for everyday use, and protection. This knife is a good size and fits well in my tiny jean pockets. It's well made for the price, and I was impressed by the sharpness of the blade right out of the box. It's very easy to open with one hand, and works perfect for the things I need to cut or break down. The seat belt cutter is a great addition, and can also be used as a bottle opener when you need it. I've gotten a lot of compliments and have recommended it to several people because of the price and durability.
