It's an nice latch, not cheap at all.I used the on an old cupboard to stop my very persistent cat from getting in. The hardware is good with good screws. No problems and the design is nice.

The appearance is nice, and with bigger screws than those provided, it seems to provide pretty good security. I used two on one door.

This is my 3rd latch and I use it to lock my wrought iron gates. My first mistake was I installed them with round headed screws so when trying to lift the lever, the screws are difficult to lift over the roundhead screws. Use a FLATHEAD SCREW.

I purchased the Alise Flip Latch Gate Latch as part of replacing the chicken's door to the chicken run. The Latch is beautifully made, with heavy gauge steel and plenty of powder coat on the matte surface to keep it from scratching off. It was easy to install and also has a feature that when you unlatch it you can pull it upward and park it neatly upright (there are two raised edges to keep it from flipping all the way back / hanging down). This makes one handed operation a breeze. Looks great, great price, great product.
