I got this for a kinetic and it wasn't right. Kinetic requires their own brand.The skewer itself seemed nice.

I bought this quick connect skewer to solve an issue created when I installed a front bicycle rack on my mountain bike. The rack added a 1/2 inch to overall necessary length to secure the rack struts to the quick connect skewer (see photos). I contacted tech support of the bike manufacturer and also wasted time going to one of the bike shops that the manufacturer recommended. No luck. So, I used my engineering skills and bought this 3/16 in diamater skewer as my front skewer (eventhough it is a rear skewer ... The rear skewers are always about 1 inch or slightly longer than the front ones). And, this worked perfectly. I liked the silver color of the release mechanism of thes part. This part was delivered in a day and the price was good. So, sometimes one has to "think outside of the box". No thanks to the manufacturer "tech support" or the cycle shop.
