Wish the description didn't say "men's" because the small size is dedicated to women's jackets. My Alpinestars Stella jacket didn't come with a back protector, so I added this for more safety and it fits perfectly in the dedicated pocket in the jacket. I was worried it would feel stiff or bulky or be visible through my jacket, but it is very light and flexible, so it forms to your figure when you put it on and does not change the look of the jacket at all when wearing it. I would highly recommend adding this to your jacket if yours didn't come with one. Always better to be safe.

I think it's awesome. It feel sturdier than that initial foam insert. Always wearing a backpack with my work computer and lunch, I feel like there is more protection if I go down and I have a can of soup in my bag. It also creates a gap between the bag and my back, so I get more airflow on my back. It's awesome.

Got this to update my Fieldsheer mesh jacket for my summer rides. It fits in the pouch as is. The cheap foam stock insert has bigger wings but this Back protector is almost the same shape. Happy to have this upgrade to my jacket.

Good protection. Small seems a little too small, but maybe I ordered the wrong size. I wear a medium women's Alpine star jacket. I'm average sized so I thought small would be a good fit. I mean, it still offers protection, but I thought there would be a little more back coverage.
