Last year I started wearing full-face helmets again while on my motorcycle and having a lightweight, wick-away balaclava in between my head and the helmet's interior makes for a much more comfortable ride. It also makes putting the helmet on much easier as my ears don't get folded down or put into an uncomfortable spot, and adjusting the helmet is easier overall.This balaclava does feel initially as if it will be too tight but it stretches nicely and is very comfortable all day, and it feels as though the helmet's ventilation works better, allowing the rider to feel the cooling airflow through the helmet. I wear an HJC RPHA 70 ST and even on the hottest days it stays cool inside with the help of this balaclava.Another major advantage? The helmet interior seems far less likely to start to stink. Even after numerous all-day rides, the helmet still smells like new inside. That said, I do have to include the part about how these balaclavas stank when I opened the plastic bags into which they were packaged.My living room smelled as though a large quantity of fuel oil had been spilled. The smell was so strong it induced a headache and I felt nauseated. I had to hang both balaclavas outside for three days just to get the smell at a point where I felt I could run the balaclavas through the wash. I was concerned that if I had put them through the wash immediately they would have made everything else in the washer stink, too. With hope it was just fluke with my order but who knows?Other than that, I do recommend this balaclava for rides in warmer temps as it should make the ride more comfortable and enjoyable.

Great mask to wear as a liner under motorcycle helmet, keeps you dry on hot weather, only issue I found is that when you wash it, at least the first 2 hand washes with dishwashing liquid, it bleeds color, no big issue, I think that would be normal, the mask feels tight but not uncomfortable at all, fabric feels soft. Overall… superb!!! I wear a Biltwell Gringo S Helmet

I like this because its not too thick causing fitment issues with helmet and I like how it doesn't cover my nose or mouth its also tight fitting which is good because it doesn't move when i slip a tight helmet over it, the bag it comes in has a bad smell I recommend washing it before wearing it that's why I only gave it 5 stars.

This was a bit lighter weight than I was expecting. Thought this would be a heavier winter bacalva to keep my head warm on cool winter rides. But I think it is too light for that. It might work out better for hot Summer rides to keep sweat out of my eyes and keep my head and neck from getting sunburned. We'll see I guess. Wasn't a lot of money, so no big deal.

This balaclava is essentially non-stretch and the opening measures 5.75" in diameter or about 46 cm in circumference (5.75" diameter x  pi = ~18" circumference. 18in x 2.54 cm/in = ~46cm circumference). pi = 3.1415926... .How do I know? I have an exercise ball that is 5-3/4" in diameter. I can just barely fit it into the neck opening of the balaclava. See the images.According to the CDC, 46cm is the average head circumference of a 1-1/2 year old child. My head circumference is about 60cm (7.5" diameter x pi = ~23.5" x 2.54cm/in > ~60cm).60cm goes into 46cm not at all.But, if your infant is into biking, this balaclava is for you. Looks cool and seems well-made. Nicely packaged so it'd make a great birthday gift for that special little kiddo too. Vroom!

Its kind of small. The fitment around the face is a little tight. It makes putting on and taking off my helmet infinitely easier and it does absorb sweat. If there was something open face that was cheaper and looser I'd probably buy it instead.

J’ai acheté la balaclava Alpinestars Mixte Open Face Cap pour me protéger du froid lors de mes balades à moto. Dès que je l’ai essayée, j’ai su que c’était un excellent choix. La matière est douce et agréable contre la peau, tout en offrant une bonne isolation thermique. Elle couvre parfaitement la tête et le cou, sans être trop encombrante.Même dans des conditions de froid intense, elle reste confortable et ne gêne pas sous le casque. C’est exactement ce dont j’avais besoin pour continuer à rouler l’hiver sans avoir à me soucier du froid. Je suis vraiment satisfait de cet achat, et je recommande cette balaclava à tous les motards qui cherchent à rester au chaud pendant l’hiver. Un investissement qui vaut le coup !

Having tried several nylon, silk, acrylic and cotton balaclavas all with windproof motorcycle in the e title, this one actually is made for riders not just suitable for skiing and hiking etc..The problem with balaclavas for riders is that it needs to be a bit fitted, tapered around the neck and not so stretchy that when you put your helmet on it doesn't pull it half way down your headAlthough the hole is a bit too large and barely covers the nose it's also a bit too small to have the nose and mouth exposed. Well for me anyway. Otherwise it fits well for motorcycle helmets, doesn't snag to the helmet lining, thin enough to not stop blood circulation and is wind proof.
