I bought this as a birthday present for my granddaughter, something she could do when she woke up excited for her birthday, but before the festivities. This fully occupied her while I was working on other stuff. She followed the instructions in the book and only needed help a couple of times, mostly just second-guessing herself. The instructions are really straight forward and easy to follow. Forewarning, It is messy!! Glitter is involved! But absolutely worth it for the enjoyment she has from it. She not only still has the set but my mom passed recently. I was locked up in my room crying and sleeping all day, hiding away from everyone. She had asked to come in several times but I just wasn’t up for it and didn’t want her to see me like that, all broken. My husband got home from work and comes in to check on me, but brings me a little special something from my sweetheart of a granddaughter… it was the “healing potion†from the set… and it worked! For something that was just supposed to be a fun activity, that cute little bottle, given in the most innocent of ways with all the love she had, put such a smile on my face and from there I was able to pull myself together, wash my face, and come down for dinner, first time out of my room all day. I even commented to my husband how silly it was that it worked and, he, who doesn’t believe in any of that stuff, replied “it’s magic.â€This set is too cute! It would be fun for birthday parties or individual activities, granddaughter was occupied for a couple of hours with it, and who knows, maybe there is a bit of magic in it, at least for me I can’t deny the results ;)

Bought this as a summer fun activity for the kids ages 5-8. They had a blast creating their potions. The only thing that was tricky was the size of the bottles. I'm sure the info told me their size and I didn't pay much attention, so it's totally my fault, but the potion bottles are really tiny.

We purchased this set for our child, whom we love dearly. We suspect she may be a bit of a witchy faerie, and that’s cool with us. She loves making potions for our soaps and lotions around the house. We bought this for the holidays and she was beyond excited.The good news: She had the best time creating with this set. She and her siblings made all of the potions and had a blast! If you have a younger child, or one with weak fine motor skills, you’ll want to help or you’ll have an even larger mess on your hands! The price was fantastic for all that comes with it. There are plenty of little bottle and extra labels in case of errors.The warning: It makes a mess, so consider doing it outside. So we purchased this fully knowing about the glitter. There is big chunky glitter and little flecky glitter that will guarantee you will find pieces of glitter for years to come if you do this inside! There is also dye included, so be careful if you’re not monitoring.Bottom line: We knew about the glitter when we purchased it, so we went in fully aware what we were doing to ourselves. Our child loved this set! If gifting to someone, consider adding on a disposable table cloth to capture the mess!

My daughter is 5 and loves making potions, using glitter, and pretending to be a fairy. So this was right up her alley. We had a great time mixing all the glitter and items together to make different potions. She especially loved making her own and naming them. These were just the right size and a good value and quality for a little kid project. I highly recommend this product.

The spell book is adorable and gives them lots of different potions to create. Brightly colored ingredients and easy to use. My 8 year old loves it!

My daughter who loves crafty stuff has asked to do this every single day since she got it. The kit is cute with decorative ivy and butterflies to store her potions she made. I do have to help her do put the potions together but it’s been a very enjoyable time. I like how you can label the potions yourself.
