This is a fine aluminum ruler. While it is a sturdy ruler, it is an aesthetically pleasing ruler as well with smooth edges and a brushed satin finish. The hash marks are easily identifiable and accurately spaced. The ruler pad provides the appropriate amount of tack firmly gripping the surface when pressure is applied, but not sticking to the surface (in my case mat board and paper) once released.

Does the job right with a straight edge. Lifted off the paper a little because of the cork bottom, making it a little easier to put the pencil lead right under where the line is

I use this edge when I am cutting large pieces of watercolor paper into smaller sizes. It works great in conjunction with my self-healing mat. No problem with the x-acto blade cutting into the edge of the aluminum. It's also long enough to use with poster boards.

Like others stated mine came bent and feels cheap and flimsy. Looks like another case of you get what you pay for. Not recommended.
