My company recently replaced the drivers side mirror on the company truck with a mirror off of Amazon. The plugs on the mirror were different than the plugs on the truck, so the check engine light was on, and the temp read 185 degrees. I figured, no problem, I'll just figure out which two wires are for the ambient air sensor and jump them.Nope, did work. I disassembled the mirror and found that the two wires for the sensor inside of the mirror were soldered together, and there was no sensor. I found this sensor, wired it into the harness, and placed it inside the door. Reset the check engine light by disconnecting the positive battery cable, started the truck, and BOOM! There is no check engine light, and the ambient temp reads 68 degrees.Worked perfect.
