I needed some heavy duty book ends that were functional and went with my industrial farmhouse decor. These seem to be perfect and attractive! They are pretty heavy but not heavy enough to keep from sliding if there is something too heavy in between. They are a good height but I wish they are just like a half inch to one inch taller and then I feel like they would stay put better. They are very sturdy and have metal feel - I certainly would not want one of these falling on my foot! I feel like they do what I need them to and hold up my therapy notebooks, to which I have about 35 to 40 held up most of the time.

These book ends are nice and heavy. They come with small rubbery 'feet' to grip the surface they are placed on. They have worked well for me and look great.

They're working for what I need, but they're not as sturdy as I was expecting- especially given their weight. Paperback textbooks kept falling over as I was setting them up on a smooth surface.Attaching non-skid stickies they provide did help- although they pop off easily. It took a few tries before they stayed put.I like the aesthetic- but they'd be better if they were a couple inches taller and/or had a section that fit under the books- like industrial library bookends.

I like them a lot. I wasn't sure about this purchase but have been using them since the day they were delivered. I use them for four of the big, heavy, old school encyclopedias and have not had any issues at all. They are unique, I think the color would go with different styles and I enjoy using them on my bookshelf. Would definitely recommend.

Didn't know what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find that they have considerable heft and seem to be very well made with a durable finish. I also appreciate that each bookend can rotate onto different sides to give either a symmetrical or asymmetrical appearance.

High enough to hold more tall books I have and heavy enough so said tall books wouldn't trip. On top of that the texture and golden finish is just so elegant. It goes really well on my shelf. Really happy with my purchase.

the asymetrical geometric look of the pictures really sold these for me, but immediately out of the box i was disappointed.theyre actually just two of the same piece, cast in a hollowed-out iron mold and spraypainted gold. you could, theoretically, flip and angle one of them to get the desired look, but since theyre hollowed-out theres only really two ways to put them since one side is a big ugly hole.this aside, they just look very cheap, they have weight but theres no 'feet' on them so they slide pretty easily on smooth surfaces, and if you have them in the 'flat' position (so the hollow hole is facing down where nobody can see) theyre quite short and probably wouldnt work for larger/heavy books.will be returning these, overall very unimpressed.

These are decent quality bookends, but could be a little heavier. I put rubbery feet on them to make them grip the bookshelf a bit better.
