A little tricky to install; video by TheCollegePicker was invaluable and has a detailed index. The hardest part for me was to remove the side panel because I didn't know there was a third clip hidden on the side by the screw. When he says to push down on the lever, be gentle but do that until you hear a click. And trust him when he says to test print before replacing the side panel. It took me a few tries.

The replacement part seems well made and arrived on time. I don’t have any issue with the replacement part, it fits well. However, this is the second replacement of this part I have made on two different, but similar Brothers printers. This part is part of the mechanism that determines if there is paper in the printer. The very small, very end of the part breaks off and the mechanism doesn’t function and the printer indicates the paper tray is out of paper. It just doesn’t seems to be a good design. There are several YouTube videos that show have to replace the part. The replacement is not particularly easy to get the printer cover off and to get the part installed correctly. It require a little finesse.
