Smaller than I expected. They are very pretty and very heavy. When opening, I accidentally dropped on on my counter top and it made a little ding on the counter, so make sure you have a good handle on them when opening. Like I said they are pretty and will serve the purpose, just small.

These items look just as beautiful in real life as they do in the picture. I originally thought the one I got did not come with rubber feet and was pleasently surprised to find a small sheet of adhesive feet that I had missed in the packaging. This is working perfectly well to prevent sliding.Also, I initially had my books arranged from shortest to tallest and was having some issues when taking a particularly thick book out from the middle. Without the feet, the end would slide, with the feet they were still tipping if all the tall books suddenly leaned to one side. My solution was to rearrange the books so not all the taller (and heavier) books are together. This seems to be working better. I'm a little bit wishing I had got the bigger size. I'm using these bookends to hold about a dozen books.

I never write reviews, but unfortunately these book ends are completely different weights and not even whatsoever. While the one is 3-4 pounds (as ordered), the other weight is a solid pound less and is noticeably thinner/smaller. While the stone is pretty, they seem like they were just thrown into a box that was already tattered upon arrival. These were meant to be a gift, and I’m not sure they can even serve their purpose as the one weight might topple over when trying to hold up sturdy books. Please deliver quality products when advertising such. Thank you.

I bought this because I thought it would look perfect for an area I had a small set of books. It was on a shelf that was 16.5 inches in length, and 11 paperback books that were 7 inches wide. The 'bookends" couldn't hold the books. The books kept falling and toppling the bookends to the floor. So I just stacked the books, and put one on either side of the stack. It looks nice, but not why I bought them.

MUCH MUCH smaller than you think. Very pretty, but obviously dyed without much care. The paper they were wrapped in was blue. That being said, they were very carefully wrapped and made it here no issues
