This Anderson Metals half union compression tube fitting is made of brass, has a flared tube connection and a male NPT connection, and is suitable for use with fuel and gas systems. It is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. This fitting can be used with copper, brass, aluminum, or steel tubing to connect and disconnect two tubes more easily than with a coupling. It has a flared tube connection on one end and a male National Pipe Taper (NPT) connection on the other for connecting to a female NPT threaded tube, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is part of an assembly that resists mechanical pullout for a more secure connection, and can be assembled and reassembled without affecting the seal. This half union compression tube fitting has an operating temperature range of -65 to +250 degrees F and is suitable for use with fuel and gas systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and vacuum applications.

Tube fittings are components used for connecting, branching, terminating, and changing the direction of tubing in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), and other materials that resist corrosion and wear. Tube fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, welded, barbed, and push-to-connect (also called one-touch). Push-to-connect connections do not require tools or sealants. Tube fittings are used in various applications, including machine tools, airplane and truck controls, and automated production lines, among others.

Anderson Metals manufactures brass fittings, valves, and pipe nipples. The company, founded in 1951, is headquartered in Kansas City, MO.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm using it to build a forge burner and it worked like a charm. Easy to tap the inside and connect the mig tip. Will definitely buy again when I need to make another burner.

I used this connector to replace the 1/8" connector from a propane regulator. I then hooked up a flexible natural gas hose to the 3/8" side of the connector so I could use natural gas in my grill instead of propane. After drilling out a few orifices the grill is now worked very nicely with Natural Gas instead of the more expensive propane.

I was able to pull it off with my bare hands after tightening fully. The grooves didn’t grab /hold on tightly enough

The g’old bbq grill had an non-replaceable propane regulator/supply line, which failed miserably.I was at the end of the road trying to find a working replacement without any luck, and just as I was able to throw away the entire thing (still in very good conditions, minus the gas line) I found this connector! With a little engineer’s perseverance, finally was able to put together a working unit to put on the stove and got it working!

Had a 10 year old Weber Genesis BBQ. When some critter chewed through the natural gas line requiring a hose replacement, I could only remove the line with the existing brass tube fitting stuck to the hose. Weber doesn't sell the replacement fitting and wanted to sell a full manifold (pain to install and much costlier). Checking Home Depot and Lowes couldn't find the correct part. Reading online reviews crossed my fingers, bought a new hose and this piece. Fit has worked well for me

Not a whole lot to say. The threads were good and clean, installed well and 2 years later it's still holding up well on my BBQ out in the elements.

Fits perfect, no propane leaks on my 25 year old Weber BBQ. This $10 piece allowed me to convert to a new hose and regulator. Ordered the night before and it was delivered by noon the next day.
