Wide for faster work and it keeps the cut at a 3/8" level. For me, that's a perfect doodle body length.

Andis blades have really gone down hill. I have 10 yr old andis blades that are still going strong but the new ones I've gotten are garbage. They used to be sharp out of the box and ready to go. Not so any more. At least 3 new blades I've gotten in the last few months, a 4, a 10 and a 30, were all useless from the get go. Wouldn’t cut clean and perfectly combed hair. Had them sharpened and they were still garbage. The same has happened to my coworkers frequently and the sharpener says it is a common thing now. You're better off buying one of the off brands, I've had much better luck with them.

It is a great blade, however, I paid for a brand new blade. Once the blade dulled I had it professionally sharpened, and was informed that I had potentially received a previously used/refurbished blade; it was 'sharpened' to the best ability of the professional, and now no longer is operational with my clippers. So not worth paying nearly $50 for it to work for only 2 1/2 - 3 months.

Opened the package, didn’t look like the blade was oiled like normal. Worked for two jobs and then clogged up / dulled out on me. Tried to oil and clean it, still catching all the hair.
