Not the greatest pads, but do the trick and perform just fine. No wear was seen and the pads were made fine and no imperfections with the surfaces or faces.

My daughter had one key on her sax. I looked over the alto and discovered it was not closing. Having just spent $600 tuning, cleaning and doing other repairs I was not interested in taking it back to the shop.Solution...these pads. We repaired the key ourselves and the note was fixed. The band has a competition the following weekend and took first place.

I specifically needed to change the pad on the high F Key. I was very disappointed to discover that there were no pads that size in the kit. There are pads in the kit that are too small to be of much use on an Alto Sax. I will keep the kit as I'm sure I will be able to make use of the other pads in the future, but I will have to buy something to get the size I need.

Pads are good quality, but there were some pads from the set that didn't fit. I had to go buy singles else-where.

Used to replace 1 pad so far on a Everett alto saxophone. Pulled key and heated with hot air gun. Pulled bad pad, heated old glue pushed in the pad.

These pads are probably best used sparingly - the leather (grain issue) and rivet for the resonator leaks more than usual in my testing and unless you find a way to seal that and or the pad cup is perfectly sealed around the pad - undetectable leaks could occur in your horn while playing. The leather used is also more porous and grainier than usual. So leak detection with light fails to spot the issue but a horn rubber glove " 0ver the bell opening "vacuum test with low B flat on pinky table fully closed the sax will rapidly loose negative pressure when these pads are installed fully. While this condition is likely true in all but the very best hand made pads , these seem to act worse cumulatively where using a pad or two wont matter much ( quick repair) but if you recondition the entire horn with pads like this you'll find low bell notes that flutter and no leaks are detectable with typical dark room leak light detection methods. Treating these pads ahead of time may help tremendously but why bother , buy better pads and save your self time. Quality pads cost about 2$ each regardless of diameter and theres a reason for that - quality happens to be expensive. Expect to pay around 60$ pad cost for full set of pads that are actually worth installing. It takes the same amount of time and effort to install cheap pads as it does quality pads - until you realize the cheap ones are degrading the horns ability to play properly..right ?
