It’s thin but that helps it look less like a mummy wrapped bait, I use this for frozen bait and the fish strip the bait down to the bone unlike other magic threads this one makes the bait last.

This stuff is awesome! If you've ever used "bait bags" or some old school guys use pantyhose, STOP! This stuff works great! I've used bait bags for years so I could really heave soft/fall apart baits. My biggest issue with bait bags and netting is that it gets completely stuck to your hook. I was finding myself cutting the bags off my hook so I could freshen up my bait. This string changed all of that! Here's how I use it;- Bait your hook as normal or even a little loose if you like.- I recommend having snapped off a section of this string beforehand.- Just start wrapping this around your bait until it's held tightly to your hook.I use this with chicken liver with great success. I grab a big glob of livers (bigger than I normally do) and just wrap this around a bunch of times. It will squeeze and form the bait to your hook, you can even leave a little bait hanging to give them a taste. That's all they get though as the rest stays on the hook! Wrap a little loose for dough baits as this is very stretchy and will pull itself through very soft baits. I've even used this in a pond very overpopulated with sunfish (bait thieves) I put a few wraps around the nightcrawler and it kept them from picking it off the hook. If you get a good bite but miss it, you more often than not get most if not all your bait back and you just tighten the string back up or add more. After a hit the string slips a little, no big deal cause it normally stays with the hook, even if they get your bait. You get plenty of string per spool, and you get 2! Or at least I did.By far this is the best new to me thing I've added to my tackle in years!

It keeps baits like shrimp on the hook and is easy to wrap and break. The only issue, which is probably the case for most bait elastic, is that once the bait is eaten, it takes a bit of work to get the remaining bait elastic off the hook.

The elastic thread took a bit of patience on smaller hooks but overall it works well. The elastic thread can be wrapped to secure your bait to the hook and give you more use of it. I was hoping it would adhere to itself when it overlaps but it came undone. I did notice once I secured it with a simple knot that bait such as shrimp and clam did remain intact longer and lasted for a few "fish strikes". It should pay for itself by limiting lost bait due to my poor technique and holding the bait intact when nibbled by bait stealing fish like searobins, etc.

I have used these to tie over a couple of dozen egg sacs. Have yet to have the wrap fail! Will probably be using these to experiment with wrapping roe directly, sans nylon, and for wrapping chicken livers. These are a bargain!

This works great to hold chicken liver on my hooks for cat fishing. Easy to use and compact.

this is the first time i've ever used an elastic bait thread. this stuff stretches a lot before it breaks. I tied on some chicken breast and it lasted through multiple hard casts. I think it will work great for chicken livers too.

This product was purchased sight unseen and was not quite what I expected. It does work well and is virtually invisible on chicken livers. I do prefer the one type I used to use as it was thicker and had some "feel" or coating on the outside of the thread. This will do just fine until I find the other product.
