First, this product works as described and that's great. I didn't know UV could detect "left over" pet surprises. In fact, by using it we discovered (1) a pattern of things that needed cleaning--not just where we--suspected them to be, and (2) since we moved into a new house that had a cat before, we also found where that cat missed his/her litter box, and got that cleaned properly too. Nice!So, for a good price and with fast shipping, we were able to find the evidence left by one of our furry kids--Bonnie the Pomeranian, if you want to know, and promptly provided targeted cleaning to all of the unpleasant surprises she left in the basement when we went out...and that former resident cat stains too...

My nose and by feeling the spot I can tell what is there, but the flashlight didn't show me anything. Even new spots my geriatric dog just presented me with. Sadly, she can get out of any diapers, covers, suspenders (all three together) or whatever I have tried to keep her problem at bay. I was greatly disappointed that the item did not work--at all.

Not sure why I was asked to rate the scent and for deep cleaning. I purchased this item to try and find out where the cat that I had temporarily had peed. I could smell it and washed a lot of different places. The urine must be dry and it must be dark in the room when using. It worked okay, and it was worth the money.

We adopted a neighborhood cat, he lived in the area a couple of years with a neighbor that moved and left the cat behind for us to care for ( the cat owns us ). We knew he had sprayed somewhere in the house. This blacklight LED lamp arrived today. Even during daylight, but with blinds closed we quickly realized how gross the cat had been marking in an embarrassing number of places. This evening after dark, we went on another hunt for gross piddle marks. WOW they stand out really clear. OK, so somethings show up that are not piddles, like my wife's white socks, but it's easy to see what's spray. Totally gross, we used most of a tub of Chlorox wipes all around the house. The lamp does a really good job of finding a really grotty stream of cat piddles. Highly recommend this lamp. I'm considering buying a few and giving them as gifts to friends and family - just what they need to make their day too :)
