When this first arrived I thought it was a mat that I had ordered for my bathroom and I was a little disapointed that it was not as soft as I had expected! Lol! Then I realized this one is for my office chair! We have older carpet that is very plush and makes it difficult to roll back away from my desk or side to side etc.. The hard plastic one that we tried first was a little problematic in that I kept stubbing my toe on it! Lol. This one is much better! It has a really great backside that practically "Grips" my carpet and stays exceptionally flat so I can roll around to my hearts desire with zero effort. The top side is not "soft" for a good reason. The firmer texture on top is what makes it so much easier to move my chair effortlessly.The quality of this office chair mat is obvious. It has excellent edgeing around the outer border and appears to be double stitched at the corners. The colors are just a little bit brighter than they looked in the picture, a good thing in my opinion it only adds to the charm. This one is mostly a light peach/pink color with some nice touches of bright blue at the center design and then a little bit more of a faded denim blue towards the outer edges of the center block design. Due to the firmer texture of the top of this mat there are zero threads or carpet strings etc.. to get caught on wheels or vacuums. Nothing to unravel. This is an excellent chair mat and I am exceptionally pleased with my choice. I've already recommended this to my husband although he will probably want the blue one (or the gray) it would also work well for an outdoor mat or anywhere you need anti slip backing or water resistant on top. I believe this could be easily rinsed off with a hose and hung to dry. Super easy maintenance, what more could you ask for?

I find the print on this rug quite pretty. It is called "Terracotta" but it it is in fact pinky-orange, which I like for my space. I am very surprised at how incredibly grippy this rug is. I laid it out flat hoping its creases from shipping folded would settle, but the pad is so grippy that it didn't. I ended up steaming out the creases with no issue. My office chair rolls easily across this rug and over its edges. I have other thin rugs that will just grab chair wheels, but this one is fine. This rug is soft and has almost zero pile.I did vacuum it, and I have a very strong Shark vacuum that usually tries to suck up an entire area rug when it's within an inch of the edge of one of them, which makes ckeaning extremely inconvenient. However, since the grip pad covers the entire bottom of the rug, this did not pull up! I did catch a corner pulling the vacuum backwards back onto the main rug, but overall it stayed put.I was looking for a rug for my hardwood floor office that wasn't just a sheet of weird plastic and this is it. I often push my chair aside to stand at my desk and this is better than bare floor. I will be buying 2 more for other desks in the house, that's how much I like this one.My one issue is the rug and pad are only connected at the edges by the overlock stitching, not in the center (like something quilted might be), so I wonder how much separation washing may cause and if I can get the rug to lay flat again. You might be able to see the lifting in one of the photos from this, it's very slight and doesn't affect the chair or trip any one. If washing it goes poorly i will update this review, in the meantime I shall enjoy it.

This is not an expensive Persian rug -- but then again, you probably wouldn't want to roll your chair over an expensive Persian rug, either.This is just a very flat rug that will let my office chair roll over it without damaging my flooring. It serves it's purpose. It will never be mistaken for a $10,000 handmade Persian rug, but that's really not its purpose.The size is perfect. The colors are a little lighter than I'd imagined, but not a significant difference.The rug comes folded and relaxes to lay flat with time, but I still put some double sided carpet tape down to prevent a tripping hazard. My robotic vacuum goes right over it without any issues.

Good size for the price and protects my floor in my little work area. My chair doesn’t roll but the metal legs were scraping a little when scooting back and forth or just moving my chair in general when I vacuum around my area. This is semi soft. It has a weird feel. It’s like a mix of soft and velvety with outdoor rug. It’s soft but firm and hard at the same time. Weird but it will do. Comes folded in the box so the creases hopefully with time go down cause even with the gripping bottom it doesn’t stay down all the way flush with the floor just yet.

It is very attractive looking - like an old Persian rug. It has a tacky bottom, allowing it to lightly attach to a hard floor (tile, wood, vinyl plank, etc). It is tacky but not too sticky, it won't leave behind a mark or residue. That keeps it from sliding around. It is thin - as it should be. It does not affect the rolling action of your chair at all. It does protect the floor from any marking from the wheels.At $30, just $24 with the coupon that was available when I ordered, I find this chair mat to be a good value.

I got this carpet for my son's computer desk, but we have to use it temporary as a no skid mat for one of our recovering from surgery pets. It provides great grip and allow no slip movements on top of it, yet brightens the floor and looks great.Good quality and not only a office use. Washable, which is a plus.

Very nice price for the size. It has a rubbery, non slip surface to keep it to the floor. It took a little time to get the wrinkles out from folding it. This would not be an effective rug on carpet. Only hardwood floors! It is easy to clean and vacuum over.
